Vodcast Instructional Design Plan

Problem

Help children who aren’t strong readers, or who have problems paying attention to storytime. Give them a way to spend one on one time with the book. 

Users

Children (ages 7-8) who are auditory learners.

Children (ages 7-8) who are dyslexic.

Childre (ages 7-8) with attention deficit disorder. 

Stakeholders

Parents - they are invested in whether their children are successful in school. 

Administrators - if it proves a successful method of helping children, it may spread in usage to other classrooms/schools. 

Goal/Outcome

Children comprehend and correctly answer questions about the plot.

Children pick up on vocabulary words (through usage in story) like herbivore.

Children put the sequence of pictures in order to retell the story. 

Assessments 

Statistics on number of hits/views.

Quiz about the book.
